Johan Kotze – Chief Executive Officer

Johan Kotze has a solid background in media and due to the nature of his work he has gained a lot of experience over many years through his involvement at different national arts festivals.
His involvement with media, as well as relationships with sponsors built over the years, will definitely play a significant role in the success of the Jacaranda National Arts Festival.
Until recently, Johan was the national distribution manager of a well-known Afrikaans Sunday paper.
Marketing is in his blood and Johan has more than 15 years of experience in both the marketing and sales sector.
It is a great pleasure for the management of the Jacaranda National Arts Festival to welcome Johan as Chief Executive Officer, responsible for all executive tasks, who will effective from 1 March 2010, officially head up the festival management.
Pedro Camara – Ambassador & Head: Performing Arts and Accommodation
Pedro, an actor with many accolades and 20 years of experience in every conceivable medium of the arts, is without a doubt the most suitable person for this portfolio. Pedro has played parts in among others, 7de Laan (as Carlos), Isidingo, Wild at Heart and Egoli, to name but a few. Pedro’s passion for the arts guarantees top flight entertainment.
Paul Jordaan – Head: Entertainment
Paul, who has more than 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry and who managed, among others Bles Bridges, will not only be bringing the cream of South African artists to the festival, but he also has an eye for up and coming young talent.
Marlite van der Westhuizen – Head: Sponsorships and Marketing
Marlite has been at the helm of her own advertising agency and is well-known in Pretoria. She has already successfully managed various large projects, functions and events. She is in charge of sponsors and the marketing campaign of the festival and therefore all stakeholders can look forward to unbelievable exposure during her marketing campaign.
Thenell van der Westhuizen – Director: Children’s Entertainment and Exhibitors
Apart from experience, the festival also needs a good dose of youthful inspiration to keep everyone’s thinking fresh and new. This dynamic lady has been involved in the planning and organization of entertainment for the youth throughout her school career, making her the ideal person to coordinate entertainment for the younger set. Exhibitors and the public can also look forward to a well-designed exhibition site with top quality stalls.

Consultants with the necessary experience and knowledge in their various fields of expertise will also be used.
